Revitalize Your Health with NAD+ Therapy at Ultimate Male

Short answer

NAD+ is a coenzyme every cell uses to turn food into energy and to repair DNA, and its levels fall with age. NAD+ therapy delivers it directly by IV. Men use it hoping for more energy, focus and faster recovery, but human research on infused NAD+ is early and small, so those benefits are not proven. Flushing, mild nausea and IV-site discomfort are the usual side effects.

Why men ask about NAD+ therapy

Feeling sluggish, mentally foggy, or noticing your recovery isn’t what it used to be? You’re not alone. As we age, our cells become less efficient at producing energy and repairing everyday wear, and many men feel that shift in their 40s and 50s.

That is where NAD+ therapy comes in. At Ultimate Male, we offer NAD+ IV therapy for men who want support with energy, focus and recovery, along with a straight explanation of what the science shows so far and what it does not.

What is NAD+ therapy?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme found in every cell in your body. It is essential for energy production, DNA repair, cell signaling and metabolism. Your body builds it from niacin (vitamin B3) and related compounds, as the NIH niacin fact sheet explains.

NAD+ levels decline with age. A review in Cell Metabolism describes that steady fall and how restoring NAD+ improved health in older or sick animals. Whether the same decline drives fatigue, brain fog and reduced stamina in people is still being studied. NAD+ therapy aims to raise levels directly through intravenous infusion. The potential benefits of NAD+ therapy

NAD+ sits at the center of several processes men care about. Below is what each hoped-for benefit is based on, and how far the evidence has come.

1. Energy and vitality

NAD+ is central to how mitochondria turn food into usable energy. Some men report steadier energy and less fatigue after infusions, but large trials showing that NAD+ infusions raise energy in healthy men have not been done.

2. Cognitive function

Brain cells use a great deal of NAD+, and researchers are studying NAD+ boosters for brain aging. Sharper focus and less brain fog are common reasons men try it, though clinical proof in healthy adults is not established yet.

3. Recovery and healthy aging

The enzymes that repair damaged DNA rely on NAD+. In animal research, raising NAD+ improved markers of aging and recovery. Human results are early, so we describe this as a possible benefit, not a proven one.

4. Mood and stress

Some people say they feel calmer or more balanced after a session. NAD+ therapy is not a treatment for anxiety or depression, and depression is a medical condition that deserves its own care. If low mood is part of what you are feeling, tell us so we can address it directly. If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 right away.

5. Metabolism

NAD+ takes part in how the body processes fuel, which is why it shows up in conversations about weight and metabolic health. It has not been shown to cause weight loss on its own. Men focused on weight usually get more from a structured medical weight loss program.

What the research shows so far

Most of the strong NAD+ evidence comes from animals and from oral precursors such as nicotinamide riboside, not from IV NAD+ itself. Direct human data on infusions are limited.

One 2019 pilot study gave NAD+ by slow IV over six hours and tracked blood and urine. For the first two hours, blood NAD+ did not rise at all, because the body cleared or broke it down as fast as it arrived. That tells us the body processes infused NAD+ quickly. It does not yet tell us how much reaches tissues or which benefits follow. We think you should know this before you book.

Who should consider NAD+ therapy?

Men who most often ask about NAD+ therapy include:

  • Men over 35 dealing with low energy or ongoing fatigue
  • Athletes and active men who want support with recovery
  • Professionals looking for more mental clarity and less burnout
  • Men focused on prevention and healthy aging

Fatigue has many causes, including low testosterone, thyroid problems, low iron, poor sleep and depression. That is why we often suggest labs before or alongside NAD+, so a treatable cause is not missed. Our comparison of vitamin IVs and NAD+ IVs can help you decide which question to start with.

What to expect during your NAD+ session

At Ultimate Male’s San Gabriel and Downey locations, each NAD+ session involves:

  • Relaxing in a recliner while NAD+ is given through an IV
  • A session that typically lasts one to four hours, depending on the dose
  • A clinician checking in and slowing the drip if you feel flushed or queasy

Some men say they feel clearer or more energetic afterward. Others notice little difference, and that is useful information too. Our guide to your first NAD+ infusion covers what to eat, wear and bring.

Combining NAD+ with other therapies

NAD+ can be paired with other IV nutrients such as vitamin B12, glutathione, vitamin C or a Myers’ cocktail. Ultimate Male also offers testosterone therapy, shockwave therapy and ED treatment for men whose goals go beyond energy, each started only after its own evaluation.

Is NAD+ therapy safe?

NAD+ occurs naturally in your body, but an infusion is still a medical treatment with possible side effects. During the drip, some people feel flushing, mild nausea or warmth, which usually eases when the infusion is slowed or ends. Like any IV, it can also cause bruising or irritation at the needle site. Large, long-term safety studies of IV NAD+ have not been done, which is one more reason we screen first.

Why choose Ultimate Male for NAD+ therapy?

At our San Gabriel and Downey clinics, NAD+ therapy starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch. You get:

  • Personalized care: a plan built around your health history, labs and goals, including an honest view of whether NAD+ is the right first step.
  • A men’s health team: providers who also treat low testosterone, sleep-related fatigue and metabolic problems, so the bigger picture is not missed.
  • Comfort and privacy: a calm, private room for the hours you spend in the chair.

Still unsure? Take the free assessment

How often should I get NAD+ therapy?
Frequency varies, and your provider sets it based on your goals, health history and how you respond. Some plans begin with a short series of closer-spaced sessions, then move to occasional maintenance visits.
How quickly will I feel results?
Some men say they feel clearer or more energetic after the first session, others only after several, and some notice little change. Research has not established a typical timeline, so we track how you actually feel.
Is NAD+ therapy painful?
Beyond the IV placement, it is generally comfortable. You may feel warmth or flushing during the drip, which usually eases when the infusion is slowed.
Can anyone get NAD+ therapy?
Not everyone. We screen your health history, medicines and recent labs first, and some heart, kidney or other conditions may mean adjusting the plan or choosing something else.

This page is general education, not medical advice. A licensed clinician must review your symptoms, history and labs before any treatment decision. For chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke or an erection lasting over four hours, call 911.
