Testosterone Therapy (TRT)

Fatigue, low libido, brain fog, muscle loss. If low testosterone is behind it, we confirm it with labs first and build a plan around your numbers, not a script.

What to expect

Your care begins with a consultation focused on your symptoms, health history, lifestyle and goals. Before recommending TRT, we run blood work to measure your testosterone and the other markers that matter (estradiol, PSA, CBC) so we know low T is actually the cause. Once you are approved, you get:

  • A personalized TRT plan based on your lab results and goals
  • Clear instructions on how and when to take your recommended therapy
  • Regular follow-up visits and lab testing to keep hormone levels in range
  • Adjustments to the plan as your body responds

Your options

TRT is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on your symptoms, lifestyle and preference, your plan may use one of four evidence-based approaches:

  • Injectable testosterone: a direct, controlled dose on a set schedule, in clinic or at home
  • Oral testosterone (Kyzatrex): a daily capsule taken with food
  • Pellets (Pellecome): inserted under the skin for a steady release over several months
  • HCG (Pregnyl): stimulates your own natural production

Signs of low testosterone

Symptoms usually creep in and get mistaken for normal aging or stress. Because they can also come from thyroid issues, poor sleep or medications, we test rather than guess. Common signs:

  • Low sex drive or erectile dysfunction
  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Loss of muscle mass or strength
  • Increased body fat
  • Difficulty concentrating or brain fog
  • Mood changes, irritability, low motivation

Benefits

More energy and stamina
Sharper focus and steadier mood
Improved libido and sexual performance
Easier muscle gain and fat loss
Better sleep and recovery
Renewed drive and confidence

Is it for me?

You may be a good candidate if any of these sound like you. Labs and a consultation confirm it.

  • Lab-confirmed low testosterone
  • Symptoms affecting your daily life
  • Generally good overall health
  • Willing to do routine lab monitoring and follow-ups
  • No untreated prostate or hormone-sensitive conditions

How it starts

Every plan starts with a free ten-minute phone call, then labs and a one-on-one consultation with a provider at our San Gabriel or Downey clinic.

How it works

Three steps. About a week.

Nothing is recommended blind. Every plan starts with labs and a real conversation, and most men are on a plan within a week of their first call.

How quickly does TRT work?
Some men notice energy, mood or sex drive improving within the first several weeks. Body composition, strength and muscle changes take a few months. Your timeline depends on your starting levels, the delivery method and how your body responds, which is why we follow up and re-test.
Is testosterone replacement therapy safe?
When it is recommended after proper labs and monitored by a licensed provider, TRT is generally considered safe. We check estradiol, PSA and blood counts before you start and at follow-ups, and adjust as needed.
Can I take testosterone if I have had prostate cancer?
It depends on your history. Recommendations have evolved and some men who completed treatment and remain cancer-free may still be candidates under close supervision. We review your records, coordinate with your other physicians if needed, and only proceed when it is safe.
Is there any risk to my partner?
Injectable, pellet and oral testosterone carry no transfer risk. Topical gels do, so if that is your therapy we show you how to apply it and avoid skin-to-skin contact until it has absorbed.
Will my ED come back if I stop TRT?
If low T was contributing, symptoms can gradually return as levels fall. ED often has several causes though, so we look at circulation, medications and stress as well and recommend a long-term strategy, not just a pill.

I feel stronger at 50 than I did at 30. The staff are amazing. I highly recommend coming if you are a man over 35.

I had a completely painless pellet treatment at Ultimate Male San Gabriel. Fast, professional, and seamless from start to finish. Matt and Yuan made the process smooth and comfortable.
