Dermal filler cost per syringe

Short answer

Dermal filler is priced per syringe, and the price differs by product: JUVÉDERM and VOLUMA are hyaluronic acid gels, while RADIESSE is calcium hydroxylapatite. Men often need more product than women for structural areas such as the jaw, so the syringe count matters as much as the price. Compare cost per month of result, not cost per syringe. Ultimate Male quotes product and syringes before you book.

What changes the price of a filler syringe?

The price of a syringe depends mostly on the product inside it, and each product is built for a different job. Ultimate Male uses JUVÉDERM, VOLUMA and RADIESSE, plus Sculptra, and quotes the product and the number of syringes after your assessment rather than posting a per-syringe price.

Product Material Where men often use it Reversible? Typical duration (AAD, by material)
JUVÉDERM Hyaluronic acid gel Around the mouth, folds, mid-face Yes, with an enzyme About 4 to 12 months
VOLUMA Denser hyaluronic acid Cheeks, chin, temples Yes, with an enzyme About 4 to 12 months for the class; varies by product
RADIESSE Calcium hydroxylapatite Jawline, deep folds, structure No About 6 months to 1 year

The durations above come from the American Academy of Dermatology, which groups fillers by material, and results vary with the product, the area treated and your metabolism. Syringe sizes also differ between products, so ask for the volume of each syringe and compare by the milliliter.

Why do men often need more product than women?

Men often need more filler because they usually treat structural areas, and those areas take more volume to change visibly. A man’s lower face is typically broader, his skin is thicker, and his goals tend to involve the jaw, chin and temples rather than the lips, which take small amounts.

Research on this is still limited, but it points the same way. A 2025 cross-sectional study of 164 aesthetic patients found that men required greater hyaluronic acid volumes in the jaw area, and concluded that men generally needed higher doses in structurally significant areas. Only 16 men in that study received hyaluronic acid filler, so treat it as a signal rather than a rule.

The practical result is that two quotes with the same per-syringe price can lead to very different totals. That is why our jawline filler cost page focuses on syringe count first. It also explains why a plan built for male proportions matters; our page on whether filler will look feminine covers the placement side.

Which filler gives you the most months for the money?

The fairest way to compare fillers is the cost per month of visible result. Work it out in three steps:

  1. Total the plan: price per syringe times the syringes your injector recommends.
  2. Estimate the duration for that product in that area, using your injector’s experience and the ranges above.
  3. Divide the total by the months to get a monthly cost.

A product with a higher syringe price can still cost less per month if it lasts longer in your treatment area. Sculptra, which builds collagen over several sessions, often comes out differently again; see the Sculptra cost page for that calculation. The JUVÉDERM versus RADIESSE comparison covers how the two feel and behave beyond price.

Reversibility is worth something too. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if a result is uneven or a complication occurs, while RADIESSE cannot. That difference does not show up on the price tag but can matter a great deal later.

What does a syringe at Ultimate Male include?

At Ultimate Male, filler is placed by nurses who focus on masculine facial contours, after an assessment of your face and health history. The quote lists the product, the syringe count, the touch-up approach and aftercare, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Safety is part of the price. The FDA advises against buying dermal filler online because it may be counterfeit, and names injection into a blood vessel as the most serious risk, which is why anatomy training matters. You can read more about the products on the JUVÉDERM for men page and the VOLUMA for men page.

Can you use HSA funds or financing for filler?

Filler for appearance is generally a cosmetic expense, and IRS Publication 502 generally excludes cosmetic procedures, so HSA and FSA funds usually cannot be used. Ultimate Male does not bill insurance, and filler is not something insurance covers for cosmetic use.

You pay per visit, with no membership. If you would rather spread the cost, CareCredit, Prosper Healthcare Lending and Afterpay are accepted; the financing page has the details.

How do you get a per-syringe quote?

A free 10-minute call at 626-319-5261 is the easiest place to start. Say which areas you are thinking about, whether you have had filler before and what product was used, and the team can tell you whether an in-person assessment makes sense.

At the assessment, you receive a written quote showing each product, the syringes for each area and any touch-up, before anything is booked. Compare all the options on the dermal fillers page and book your assessment online when ready.

Still unsure? Take the free assessment

Is it safe to buy filler online and have it injected?
No. The FDA warns against buying dermal fillers online because they may be counterfeit or not approved for use in the United States. Filler should come from the clinic placing it.
Can I get filler and BOTOX at the same visit?
Often, yes, and combining them can save a separate trip. Your provider will decide the order and whether both suit the same day, and the quote will list each treatment separately.
Will filler make me look feminine?
Not when it is placed for male proportions. Men usually need support along the jaw, chin and temples rather than fuller lips or rounded cheeks, and a male-focused plan reflects that.
